Agape Family Center

Our Office

How we started

Although going to church is a central tenet of the faith, true faith is rooted in the Christian household. For people of faith, family ministry is crucial to maintaining a true understanding of Scripture and a relationship with God. However, most of the Asian churches are not equipped or not having enough resources to do family ministry. We hope to partner with them and with community by providing our resources to help those people who lost their marriage or spouse, families with special need kids, singles and elders who live by themselves.  So, we are trying to serve churches and the community with our resources to benefit people who need family caring physically, physiologically, and spiritually in the DFW area. In June 2018, through the same vision in family ministry and the generous funding of private donations, Agape Family Center (AFC) incorporated and opened its doors as a non-denominational, 501(c)3 non-profit agency.

We are unique because

  • We honor the ways that Christian faith intersects with the culture and identity.

  • We recognize and appreciate the vital role, caring and influence of religious authority and affiliation in ethnic communities.

  • We understand the need for pastors, church leadership, and others in the Christian community to have a trusted place to consult and refer when complex problems arise.

What we believe

We have a special calling to serve the Christian community and the community at large. Our corporate statement of faith states:

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Lord and Savior. We believe that through faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, we have been given a new and eternal life. We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and is the trustworthy and authoritative rule of faith and practice.

As a Christian, we have the highest regard for each person who comes to AFC for service. This regard recognizes that faith experiences are diverse, and the expression of faith is complex. For this reason, Scripture and prayer are offered only with informed consent. This practice is consistent with our commitment to the highest standards of professional and ethical practice as well as with the values and principles of our Christian faith which respects each person’s right to self-determination.

While our roots and focus are with the Christian community, AFC is committed to a policy of non-discrimination. We provide services to people of all religions, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, social-economic status, education, political affiliation and creed.
